Julie's Girls Club is a Hudson Valley based Queer friendly meetup group!  They host regular meetups and activites throughout the Hudson Valley for Queer folks and Allies.  

This Open Climbing Event is for folks of all different climbing abilities and backgrounds.

The Gravity Vault Poughkeepsie partners with Adaptive Climbing to bring a monthly climbing meetup for climbers with disabilities. 

This event is open to volunteers and participants.

Program Overview: Join us for our monthly Ladies' Night rock climbing meetup on the second Wednesday of every month at The Gravity Vault in Poughkeepsie, NY. This community event is designed for women and gender-nonconforming individuals to come together and enjoy climbing. All levels of climbing abilities are welcome. This event is great for beginners too. A staff member will be available from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM to assist with belaying on top rope as needed. During the meetup, participants can engage in bouldering, top roping, or lead climbing based on their Gravity Vault Belay Certifications. Our friendly staff member will be on hand to help break the ice and facilitate conversation so have no fear, introverts, we got you covered.

Ages: This program and discount is open to ages 18+

Location: The Gravity Vault 6 Neptune Rd. Poughkeepsie, NY located just off of Route 9 in Poughkeepsie.

Activities Included: Participants are welcome to enjoy bouldering, top roping, or lead climbing (based on certification). Ask the staff member if you are interested in playing climbing games!

Time: Discount day passes start at 6:00 PM and are available until we close that night. A staff member is available to belay from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Join us for our monthly LGBTQIA+ rock climbing meetup on the second Thursday of every month at The Gravity Vault in Poughkeepsie, NY. This casual, community-driven event invites climbers of all backgrounds to connect and climb together in a welcoming space. All skill levels are welcome, from first-timers to experienced climbers. Whether you want to boulder, top rope, or lead climb, we have something for everyone. A staff member will be available from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM to assist with belaying on top rope. Don’t worry about being new – our friendly staff is here to help you feel at home and get the conversation started!

Ages: This program is open to ages 18+

Location: The Gravity Vault, 6 Neptune Rd., Poughkeepsie, NY, located just off Route 9.

Participants are welcome to enjoy bouldering, top roping, or lead climbing (based on certification). If you're new to climbing, feel free to ask our staff member about climbing games or getting started with basic techniques!

No reservations required - session slots are first come, first served. Recommended check-in time is 20 minutes before your desired session to gear up!

Waivers should be completed prior to arriving if it is your first time visiting us!

Join us for our Winter Kids Climbing Festival! This event is perfect for kids ages 5-14. All experience levels welcome! During this 2-hour group climb kids will climb on our 35-foot top rope climbing walls with the help of a Gravity Vault Staff member to help manage the ropes. In addition to top rope climbing kids will have the option to play climbing games and enjoy fun climbing activities from our Kids Class and Summer Camp Programs.

What’s Included:

• Staff-led group climbing on our kids’ climbing walls with fun shapes and holds

• Climbing games that build confidence, problem-solving skills, and teamwork

• Lawn games for breaks between climbs

• A winter-themed craft to take home as a keepsake

Harnesses are provided, and our staff handles all the belaying, so parents can relax or cheer on their kids from the sidelines. Whether your child is brand new to climbing or already loves the sport, this event offers a safe and exciting way to try it out! 

Please note: Bouldering is not included in the Kids Climbing Festival.
