The Gravity Vault is looking for highly energetic individuals to work as Front Desk Staff. Our Front Desk Staff are the first to greet every person that enters the gym and are the embodiment of The Gravity Vault mission statement. They insure every person regardless of identity, age, or experience feels welcomed to a safe, fun, and clean climbing environment. We need people who pride themselves on a job well done, excel in providing exceptional customer/climbing experiences, who are goal and detail oriented, eager, and who are willing to perform the daily tasks needed to maintain a clean gym and welcoming community.  

Basic job duties include but are not limited to retail and membership sales, informing members and new climbers of different programming options, answering the phone, teaching top rope belay certification class, and booking staff led events.

All candidates must be willing to engage with members and new climbers to keep them excited for climbing at The Gravity Vault.

 Job Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.

• Willingness to maintain and clean the gym throughout your shift.

• Weekend and / or closing availability.

• Minimum availability of 15 hours and 2 days per week.

• Retail, Customer Service, or Hospitality experience preferred.

• Indoor / Outdoor climbing experience preferred.

• Part Time Hourly Wage - based on experience.

Job Description:

As a Assistant Team Coach for The Gravity Vault you will facilitate the training for our Youth Climbing Teams.  In the Team Coach role you will have the opportunity to work with other coaching staff to develop and execute training regimens, practice schedules, technique lessons and more. You will mentor the kids as they progress through our program and help them to achieve their climbing goals. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise climbers at practices.
• Motivate the kids and empower them to reach new heights.
• Maintain an encouraging, yet competitive environment which upholds The Gravity Vault's Mission Statement.
• Attend Competitions with the team.
• Communicate with Climbers and Parents on goals and achievements.

Requirements:

• Competition Climbing Experience Necessary.
• USA Climbing Coaches Certification.
• Excellent Verbal Communication Skills.
• Experience Coaching an individual/team sport at the Youth Level.

Job Description:

Position needed 8/17- 8/21

9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday-Friday 

35 hours

Summer Rocks Climbing Camp is a week long climbing camp for kids ages 5-14 where camp instructors will teach climbing skills and participate in exciting camp activities such as Slacklining, Crate Stacking, Climbing Movies, and more! Our goal is to provide a thrilling experience for young climbers, both experienced and new to the sport. We are looking for camp counselors that will work with the young climbers to foster a growth in strength, technique, confidence, and friendship building.

Job Responsibilities:

• Actively supervising campers ages 5-14.

• Ability to top-rope belay a climber while also engaging with others kids through conversation.

• Ensure camp participants compliance with Gym Policies.

• Catering a climbing experience that suits the level of experience of the camp participant.

How do you know if you’re the right candidate?

• Are you comfortable belaying a group of kids on your own while still collaborating with a team?

• Do you have the stamina to keep up with 5-14 year old’s bursting with energy?

• Do you have the enthusiasm and positive energy needed to work with kids?

Job Requirements:

• At least 16 years of age.

• Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp – age children, with 1 year preferred, in either a professional, personal or volunteer setting.
